Tally to Shopify products

Scan a Tally catalog and approve draft creation or updates in Shopify.

Before scanning

  • The Windows Agent must meet the version shown on the Products page.
  • The selected company and masters must be current.
  • Shopify must grant product-write access.
  • Product creation defaults and field ownership must be reviewed.

Start a Tally catalog scan

Open Products → Tally → Shopify and select Scan Tally catalog. The scan pins the current company, discovery evidence, and policy for a stable run.

Monitor progress

The page reports discovery, evidence preparation, materialization, review-row creation, lifecycle checks, progress timestamps, and recovery count.

Review proposed Shopify changes

Search the current page by Tally item, Shopify title, SKU, or group. For new products, confirm the proposed title, a unique SKU, and price. Existing mapped products can be approved in bounded bulk actions.

Approve and verify

A new item creates a draft Shopify product with one variant. A mapped item is updated only for fields allowed by ownership and safety policy.

Scans do not publish products

The scan only stages review rows. Approval creates a Shopify draft; publish it in Shopify after checking storefront content, price, tax, shipping, and inventory.

Resume or cancel

Cancellation stops before the next batch and keeps rows already staged by completed batches. Resume only when continuing the same pinned discovery is deliberate. Start a fresh scan after company, policy, mapping, or master changes.

Map to an existing Shopify product

Enter an existing unique Shopify SKU in Map selected Tally item to an existing Shopify SKU. Tally Connect refuses ambiguous SKUs and protected identities.

Scan history

Recent history contains merchant-safe aggregate status and progress, not raw Tally rows or integrity digests. Observed rows per minute describe that run only; they are not a supported catalog-size guarantee.
