Move from preview to production writes without skipping Tally Connect safeguards.
Finish mappings
Confirm the accounting ledgers, default Shopify location, Tally godown, and products required for your first real order. The mapped Sales ledger must report Inventory values are affected = Yes before an item voucher can be tested or written.
In TallyPrime open Alter Master → Ledger, select the Sales ledger, press F12, set Use Inventory Allocations for Ledgers = Yes, set Inventory values are affected = Yes, and save. Then refresh Tally masters and map that ledger again.
Run the ₹1 test in a disposable company
Open Settings → Safety & access, confirm the selected company is disposable, and run the test. Verify the Sales Voucher in TallyPrime.
Return to production deliberately
Load the intended production company in TallyPrime. Discover and bind it again if necessary, then refresh masters and review mappings tied to that company.
Preview a paid order
Open Orders, select an eligible paid order, and run Preview. Fix any missing mapping, tax, or balance issue before enabling writes.
Enable live writes
In Settings → Safety & access, select Allow approved workflows to write
to Tally, type ENABLE, and save.
Start with one controlled export
Sync one known paid order. Verify its Sales Voucher and linked voucher number, then monitor Activity before enabling automatic paid-order export.
Never replay an uncertain write
If a write fails after Tally may have committed it, Tally Connect blocks
replay. Check the exact TC:<uuid> connector Reference in the original company and
follow voucher recovery before starting a fresh
approved workflow. The Shopify reference is retained in narration.
Import Exceptions are not posted vouchers
A row under Import Exceptions → No Accounting Allocations is a rejected exception, even if Tally lets you open it. Correct the Sales ledger setting, reconcile or remove old test exceptions, refresh masters, and run one fresh test.
Two-way inventory has separate baseline and single-godown gates. Enable it only after the order workflow is stable and the inventory checklist passes.
