Shopify to Tally products
Create or update reviewed Tally Stock Items from Shopify variants.
Refresh the Shopify catalog
Open Products → Shopify → Tally and select Refresh Shopify catalog. Tally Connect compares Shopify variants with confirmed mappings and the latest verified Tally masters.
Filter the review queue
Search by product, variant, SKU, or Tally name. Filter by review status to focus on new, changed, failed, or completed proposals.
Review the proposed Stock Item
Confirm or adjust the Stock Item name, Stock Group, base unit, optional HSN, GST treatment, and GST rate. Expand the technical comparison when you need to inspect exact source and destination fields.
Approve the write
Approval creates a typed Agent command. The Agent checks company identity, duplicate names/SKUs, and the expected Tally Alter ID before a create or update.
Wait for read-back verification
A mapping is confirmed only after the saved Stock Item is read back with its durable Tally identifiers.
Remap instead of create
If the Shopify variant already corresponds to an existing Stock Item, select Remap selected variant to an existing Stock Item. Only items from verified master discovery are offered. Remapping does not write to Tally, but it pauses inventory baselines for re-verification.
Bulk actions
Use bulk approve only for rows you have reviewed. Tally Connect enforces a bounded batch size, skips stale or ineligible rows, and retains confirmed mappings. You can also bulk ignore, request rescans, or reopen reviews.
Stale Tally changes fail closed
If a Stock Item changed in Tally after the review was prepared, the expected Alter ID no longer matches. Refresh masters and review the new state instead of forcing the old proposal.
