Plans, billing, and cancellation

Review Tally Connect subscriptions, trial eligibility, Shopify approval, and safe behavior when billing changes.

Tally Connect is a paid app, billed through Shopify. The private Windows connector is included in the subscription: there is no separate connector payment, per-order charge, or paid feature add-on.

Prices and included workflows

Your Shopify store plan determines your Tally Connect tier. Choose between a recurring charge every 30 days and an annual charge billed upfront. Prices below are in USD, before applicable taxes; your Shopify and TallyPrime subscriptions are separate.

Tally Connect subscription prices in USD
Shopify store planEvery 30 daysAnnual, billed upfront
Basic$15 USD$149 USD
Grow$20 USD$199 USD
Advanced$25 USD$249 USD
Plus$30 USD$299 USD

Every tier includes the current paid-order, refund, reviewed product, and single-godown inventory workflows, plus the Windows connector, activity, recovery, and customer privacy tools. A subscription does not lift the existing supported behavior and safety limits.

Shopify plans that cannot be mapped to a supported tier need review before a subscription can be approved. The app does not silently select a higher price.

Approve a subscription

  1. Open Shopify Admin, choose the correct store, and open Apps → Tally Connect.
  2. Open Subscription. The app verifies your Shopify store plan and displays the matching Tally Connect tier.
  3. Choose Every 30 days or Annual and continue to Shopify's approval screen.
  4. Review the price, billing cycle, any eligible trial, and recurring terms on Shopify. Approve only if they are correct.
  5. Return to Tally Connect and confirm Subscription reports the subscription as active. Complete the setup checklist before sync.

Opening the homepage or Shopify Admin does not approve a charge. Declining or closing the Shopify confirmation screen does not activate a new subscription. The app verifies Shopify's subscription status, rather than trusting the return URL as proof of approval.

Trial and renewals

The first eligible subscription receives a 14-day trial. The recurring amount shown on Shopify applies after the trial unless you cancel beforehand. Review the trial and renewal information displayed by Shopify for your store.

Changing a plan or billing cycle does not grant a fresh 14-day trial. Reinstalling is not a promised way to obtain another trial. Subscription records are checked when you return to the app.

Change a plan or billing cycle

Open Subscription, refresh the current status if needed, and request the desired cycle. A new price or cycle requires a new Shopify approval. Changing your Shopify store plan does not itself authorize a new Tally Connect charge.

An existing recognized, approved subscription can remain usable for its verified period after a Shopify tier change. Review the advisory in Subscription; any new approval must use the newly eligible tier.

Shopify controls replacement timing and any applicable proration. Some changes, including an annual-to-every-30-days change, can take effect at a later renewal. Use the Shopify confirmation and the app's current status to distinguish an approved future change from the subscription active now. The app does not cancel your existing subscription before the replacement is approved.

Cancel and stop recurring billing

Use Subscription to cancel the subscription and confirm the warning. Cancellation stops it immediately and pauses new sync work. The cancellation action does not request an automatic prorated credit or refund for the remaining period. Review your charges in Shopify Admin and contact support if a billing correction needs review.

A sync pause is not a subscription cancellation

Turning off automatic sync, pausing inventory, closing TallyPrime, or taking the Windows connector offline does not cancel recurring app billing. Use Subscription to cancel, or uninstall the app through Shopify Admin.

Cancellation does not undo vouchers or stock changes already written to Tally. An in-flight command can still report its result; do not retry uncertain writes manually just because billing changed.

What remains accessible when billing is inactive

While the app is installed, customer privacy requests, safe diagnostics, and reconciliation of existing work must remain accessible. A subscription failure must not block a customer-data request or erase accounting evidence. Follow voucher recovery for uncertain writes and customer privacy handling for access or deletion requests.

New billable sync work pauses when there is no valid entitlement or when the app cannot verify it. Resolve the subscription status in Subscription before expecting new automated work to run. Resuming billing does not bypass company identity, mapping, privacy suppression, or live-write checks.

Uninstalling also removes access to the embedded app. Resolve outstanding customer requests and uncertain accounting work before uninstalling where possible; local Tally data and backups require separate merchant review.

Development-store testing

Eligible Shopify development stores use test subscriptions, visibly identified as test billing. Do not use a production store to explore approval, cancellation, or plan replacement. A real store approval can create real recurring charges.
