Product sync
Scan each source, review proposed changes, and approve verified product writes.
Tally Connect does not silently copy an entire catalog. It creates review rows that show the source value, proposed destination value, blockers, and current mapping before anything is written.
Shopify → Tally
Review Shopify variants before creating or altering Tally Stock Items.
Tally → Shopify
Scan Tally Stock Items and review draft Shopify products or mapped updates.
Inventory baselines
Compare initial quantities before a product/location pair can automate.
Field ownership
Decide which system may propose changes to each supported field.
Product workspace
Open Tally Connect → Products. Use the direction chooser to switch between Shopify → Tally, Tally → Shopify, inventory baselines, and product settings.
Every product write is review-driven:
- Refresh or scan the source catalog.
- Search and filter the proposed review rows.
- Inspect identity, field comparison, and any safety blocker.
- Approve, ignore, remap, rescan, or reopen the selected review.
- Wait for verification before treating the mapping as confirmed.
One tracked variant
A new Tally Stock Item becomes one draft Shopify product with one tracked variant. Tally Connect does not publish the draft automatically.
Identity and duplicate protection
Tally Connect uses confirmed mappings and durable destination identities rather than product titles alone. SKU and Stock Item identity conflicts are blocked for review. Remapping pauses related inventory baselines until they are verified again.
Currently blocked product features
Bundles, kits, alternate-unit conversions, price lists, batches, expiry dates, and serial numbers are not automatically synchronized. See Supported behavior before enabling a catalog.
For interrupted or large catalog reviews, see Catalog scan progress and recovery.
