Two-way inventory

Activate conflict-safe inventory only after every mapping and baseline check passes.

Confirm one location and one godown

Map exactly one active Shopify location to the one godown returned by the latest successful Tally master discovery.

Confirm products

Every participating Shopify variant must have one verified Tally Stock Item mapping and a whole-number unit conversion.

Review baselines

Open Products → Inventory baseline. Refresh and approve each required product/location record only after the starting quantities are trusted.

Check live-write readiness

The Agent, company, masters, default location, ledgers, and ₹1 test voucher must be ready. Live Tally writes must be enabled.

Activate inventory

Open Settings → Inventory and select Turn on two-way inventory. The button remains disabled until every readiness check passes.

Polling interval

Under Settings → Automation, set Check Tally inventory every between 60 and 3,600 seconds. The interval controls checks; it does not weaken conflict or compare-and-set protection.

Select Pause inventory sync before changing mappings, correcting stock in bulk, switching company, or investigating repeated conflicts. Turning off live writes also pauses automatic two-way inventory.

Echoes are consumed

After Tally Connect writes a quantity, the matching observed change is treated as the connector's own echo rather than a new independent edit.
