Complete accounting shape

An order is more than SKU and quantity

Shopify orders can contain line discounts, order discounts, shipping, GST, customer address information, and rounding differences. Tally Connect builds the complete voucher from integer-paise values and refuses to ignore an amount simply because a mapping is missing.

The original Shopify reference remains visible in narration, while the Tally Reference field is reserved for the connector-owned identity used to prevent duplicates.

Duplicate-safe by design

Prove identity before and after the write

A network timeout does not prove that TallyPrime rejected a voucher. Blindly retrying can create the same sale twice. Tally Connect searches for its deterministic identity before creating a voucher and verifies the returned Tally record after import.

When the final state cannot be proved, the order stops in reconciliation-required state. Your team checks TallyPrime before any fresh export is allowed.

  • Stable Remote ID for every eligible Shopify order.
  • Preflight lookup before voucher creation.
  • Read-after-write verification by Tally Master ID.
  • Fail-closed recovery for lost or ambiguous results.

Preview the real workflow before automation

New stores start with live writes disabled. Preview validates the order, products, quantities, ledgers, GST routing, and balance without changing TallyPrime.

A separately approved small-value setup test provides real evidence in a disposable company. Production posting is enabled only after the intended company and mappings are verified again.

  • Visible readiness reasons instead of a generic sync error.
  • Explicit live-write confirmation after the test path.
  • Activity statuses from preview through verified completion.
  • Safe retry only after the underlying blocker is corrected.

The current order workflow is built around eligible paid orders. Readiness checks can still block an individual order when identity, mapping, quantity, tax, or company evidence is incomplete.

Can I preview without changing TallyPrime?+

Yes. Preview validates the proposed Sales Voucher while live writes remain disabled.

What happens after a Tally timeout?+

If the connector cannot prove whether the write committed, it requires reconciliation. It does not blindly create another voucher.
