Let the private computer ask the cloud for work

Tally Connect does not require a public IP, inbound firewall rule, port forwarding, or general-purpose tunnel to the local Tally service. The Agent long-polls the authorized cloud queue over outbound HTTPS.

When TallyPrime or the computer is offline, work waits. The app uses heartbeat evidence to show the merchant that local operations are unavailable.

Narrow authority

Typed commands instead of remote-control access

The Agent accepts known command families and builds allow-listed Tally requests from validated fields. The cloud cannot supply arbitrary XML, TDL, shell commands, or executable scripts.

Company name and GUID checks bind local work to the selection made during setup. Opening a different company makes the write fail closed.

Windows operations

Pair, monitor, update, and remove safely

The setup application verifies cloud access, local Tally reachability, and the loaded company before it accepts the short-lived pairing code. It provisions the background Agent for the same signed-in Windows user.

Production distribution requires signed installer and update artifacts. Pause and pending-result checks protect repair, update, rollback, and uninstall operations.
